Floating Films is an exciting new cinema club based at the St Katherine’s Docks aboard a traditional 1920’s Thames sailing barge SB Repertor. As an integral part of London’s working class heritage, boats like SB Repertor continue to survive as chartered sailing vessels, upholding a true London tradition. Run by volunteers, the aim of the club is to showcase a diverse selection of films with a social conscience.

Our programme boasts a selection of shorts, features and documentaries, as well as special screenings with live music accompaniment and talks with key industry guests.diverse selection of films with a social conscience. As a not-for-profit film club, we hope to raise the profile of this forgotten part of London history, promoting their preservation and trade continuation for future generations, whilst providing a unique arts venue for independent film events.

SB Repertor has a cosy reception space and screenings have a 40 seat capacity so we always recommend booking early. Reserve your place in advance by emailing to avoid disappointment. Whilst we do not ask for an entrance fee voluntary donations are always welcome!

Following the screening we encourage you to stay for further discussion and debate, or to simply soak up the atmosphere.
